A substantial double-strand Akoya cultured pearl sautoir, combining luminous graduated pearls with an elegant early 20th-century platinum, diamond and pearl clasp. Presented in a Ciro of Bond Street box with an accompanying certificate dated 6 December 1960, the necklace offers a particularly appealing combination of scale, period detail and historic documentation.

The two individually knotted strands comprise 204 Akoya cultured pearls measuring approximately 6–9.80 mm. Their creamy white body colour is enlivened by delicate pink and silver overtones, with bright, reflective lustre that comes through beautifully in daylight. Graduating towards the front, the pearls form two gently staggered rows measuring approximately 79 and 83 cm, excluding the clasp.

The necklace is finished with an associated antique platinum clasp, circa 1920. Measuring approximately 25 × 18 mm, its rectangular outline incorporates softly curved central details, fine millegrain borders and a pierced geometric gallery. A button-shaped Akoya cultured pearl sits between two prominent diamonds, surrounded by smaller diamond accents. The diamonds weigh approximately 2.20 carats in total, with estimated H–I–J colour and VS–VVS clarity.

The decorative clasp can be positioned to the side or towards the front, allowing its diamond work to become a focal point against the flowing pearl strands. A safety chain provides additional security.

The accompanying Pacific Pearl Traders Association certificate, issued to Ciro of Bond Street and dated 6 December 1960, adds an engaging historical dimension to the presentation.
