Long Art Deco style 200 cm Japanese Akoya Pearl Rope Necklace 18K Pearl Clasp

An exceptionally long Art Deco style Japanese Akoya cultured pearl rope necklace, measuring approximately 200 cm and featuring lustrous smaller pearls punctuated by larger, softly irregular accent pearls. The alternating proportions bring rhythm and character to a classic design, creating an elegant statement whether worn full length or arranged in multiple strands.

The pearls measure approximately 6.2–10.1 mm and display a creamy white body colour with delicate pink overtones. The smaller pearls have particularly bright, highly reflective lustre, while the larger Akoya pearls offer a softer glow that complements their individual contours.

The necklace is finished with a pearl-set 18K gold clasp, stamped 750 and bearing an unidentified maker’s mark. The pearl incorporated into the clasp provides a discreet finish, maintaining the flowing appearance of the rope.

At approximately 118 grams, this is a substantial yet versatile necklace, equally suited to a long sautoir arrangement or layered styling for evening wear. It is in excellent overall condition, with no nacre damage observed on inspection.
