Vintage Three-Strand Akoya Pearl Necklace Ruby-Set 18K Gold Clasp Circa 1960’s
An elegant circa 1960s necklace comprising three graduated strands of creamy Akoya cultured pearls, finished with a finely chiselled 18K white gold floral clasp set with small rubies.
The 218 pearls range from approximately 5.3 to 8.9 mm and graduate towards the front, creating a full, beautifully balanced drape. They have excellent lustre and are in lovely condition, with no visible damage. The sculptural clasp provides a distinctive finish at the back of the neck and can also be worn to the side as a decorative feature.
With its longest strand measuring 51.5 cm, the necklace sits comfortably below the collarbone. The clasp is stamped 750.
