Vintage Long Carved Jadeite and Black Onyx Double-Strand Tassel Sautoir Necklace

A striking vintage carved jadeite and black onyx sautoir necklace with strong scale, movement and decorative presence.

The necklace is composed of double rows of polished black onyx beads, graduating at the front to larger polished and faceted onyx beads joined by hand-knotted black textile links. Two substantial green jadeite beads form the articulated centre, each carved on multiple faces with Chinese-inspired motifs.

The necklace terminates in a long, fluid tassel made from numerous strands of polished black onyx beads. A second tassel at the adjustable cord closure adds further detail and allows the necklace to be worn at different lengths, measuring 36cm at its shortest wearable length and 49cm when fully extended.

The vivid green carvings contrast sharply with the glossy black onyx, creating a bold and highly wearable statement piece.
