Dating to circa 1900–1915, this finely executed jewel showcases superb hand craftsmanship throughout. The richly detailed mount features intricate pierced filigree (ajour), delicate millegrain decoration, and elegant scrollwork, while the beautifully finished openwork reverse reflects the exceptional quality expected of fine jewellery from the Edwardian period.

Designed as a versatile jewel, the piece retains both its original detachable brooch fitting and removable pendant loop, allowing it to be worn either as an elegant pendant or as a striking brooch. The conversion system is expertly engineered and seamlessly integrated into the design.

The substantial amethyst displays a rich violet colour and impressive presence, known in the trade as Siberian Amethyst attributes and complemented by the sparkle of the old-cut diamonds and diamond roses.
