1980s Long Vintage Lapis Lazuli Bead Necklace 9 Carat Gold Fluted Spacers 100cm

A striking and beautifully proportioned vintage lapis lazuli opera-length necklace dating from the 1980s, recently professionally restrung and meticulously detailed, combining rich natural lapis lazuli with elegant 9 carat yellow gold accents.

Measuring an impressive 100 cm (39.4 inches), the necklace is composed of polished 8–8.5 mm natural lapis lazuli beads, displaying a vivid royal blue colour with attractive natural pyrite inclusions. Eight finely ribbed 10 mm hollow yet robust 9 carat yellow gold fluted beads are evenly spaced throughout the strand, each separated by polished 9ct gold rondelle spacers, creating a balanced and sophisticated rhythm along the length of the necklace.

The necklace has recently been professionally restrung, with careful attention given to spacing, alignment and finish, ensuring both durability and an elegant drape. It is fitted with a 9 carat yellow gold clasp, hallmarked 375, allowing secure fastening while remaining long enough to slip comfortably over the head if preferred.
